Bristol Evening Post, 20 July 1999 "Tony takes on a charity role" ----------------------------------------------------------- ACTOR Tony Head from Timsbury agreed to help support a Radstock-based charity for brittle bone disease. The star has won a huge following in his role as librarian Rupert Giles in *Buffy the Vampire Slayer.* Tony has been enjoying a break from filming in Los Angeles on the cult TV series which is shown on BBC2 and agreed to help the National Osteoporosis Society. The national organisation in Camerton near Radstock also boasts the support of Camilla Parker-Bowles. Tony helped the NOS with its latest money-spinning annual prize draw with a top prize of a Ford Ka. The draw raised more than 70,000 for the charity, which provides support for sufferers and their relatives. NOS director Linda Edwards said : "We are grateful to the local and national companies who donated prizes.
