Scottish Daily Record, October 31, 1999, by Simon Carlyle "Simon's Celebs" ----------------------------------------------------------- FINLEY QUAYE got into a fight in Brazil. He was due to follow a lesser-known reggae band at the Chivas Regal Festival. When they didn't finish on time, Finley walked on stage and tapped his watch. But a burly minder didn't take too kindly to his antics and a fight broke out. Finley escaped without injury. I HEAR that Dean Sullivan, who plays Jimmy Corkhill in Brookside, is in the throes of writing a book called Soap Wars. It's all about his time working in soapland. He's been there for almost 15 years, so it could be a big book. EMMA LEDDEN, the new Live and Kicking presenter, definitely has her finger on the pulse when it comes to TV. Far from fancying her co-host, Steve Wilson, young Ms Ledden is apparently mad about that guy Pacey from Dawson's Creek. TIM VINCENT has begun working on his first film in London. It's called Sorted and is set in the world of clubbing. He stars alongside Tim Currie and Jason Donovan and, apparently, is enjoying it so much that he may take up other film offers in the future. TONY HEAD - yes, that one from the Gold Blend adverts - is certainly making it big in the States with his role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He is often spotted chatting to Cameron Diaz and Al Pacino - they all hang out at the same LA hotel for breakfast at weekends. I FOUND myself chatting to one of those people who has done all sorts of things in life - one of them being caretaker to of some big names, including Barbra Streisand. Apparently, Babs likes to have lunch in New York, before flying off to her other home in LA for dinner. ----------------------------------------------------------- Bentley's Bedlam http://www.BetsyDa.com/bedlam.html This website is for information and entertainment purposes only and is not intended to infringe on copyrights held by others.
