The Guardian, February 14, 2001, by Nancy Banks-Smith. "TV review" ----------------------------------------------------------- Henry (Anthony Head) in "Silent Witness" (BBC 1) is the reddest herring ever waved under my incredulous nose. Henry is gentry, but what a bounder, and never more so than when blowing suavely on his snooker cue tip. He has fathered a child with his own daughter ("In our family, a generation or two back such behaviour was de rigueur"), and plies the nubile daughters of the peasantry with Moet and Chandon ("Put a couple more on ice!") The phrase is particularly unfortunate, as murdered girls keep turning up in snowfields and deep freezers. Scotland Yard lollop along after this fishy distraction with their ears blowing in the wind. Fortunately, the fair Miss Formaldehyde (Amanda Burton) is on the job and spots it is the chauffeur. ----------------------------------------------------------- Bentley's Bedlam http://www.BetsyDa.com/bedlam.html This website is for information and entertainment purposes only and is not intended to infringe on copyrights held by others.
