Daily Variety, 20 March 2000, by Susanne Ault 'Actress" On Best Behavior At Bow ----------------------------------------------------------- Playing conniving Hollywood types wasn't too much of a stretch for thesps of E! Entertainment's frosh movie effort "Best Actress," which preemed Thursday night at Paramount Studios. "When you become a celebrity, everybody expects you to be perfect, but if God forbid, you have a problem, they'll absolutely eat you alive," co-star Jaime Pressly said. "Best" co-star Thomas Calabro seconded that. "Of course Hollywood's dirty secrets are true --- that's why we tell them," he said. "Best" thesp Rachel Hunter chimed in, "There's always dramas that go on in people's lives," yet quickly laughed, "but not in my life!" E!'s pic takes pot shots at the biz, but the cabler threw a thunderous bash for its industry guests, snagging Grammy- nominated Moby as its headlining attraction. Other revelers included pic's Loretta Devine, Anthony Stewart Head, Maria Conchita Alonso, Jordan Ladd, Elisa Donovan and director F. Harvey Frost; E! execs John Rieber, Greg Brannan and Stephen Croneota; and guests Thora Birch, Ben Savage, Amanda Peet, Ivan Sergei and John Henson. ----------------------------------------------------------- Bentley's Bedlam http://www.BetsyDa.com/bedlam.html This website is for information and entertainment purposes only and is not intended to infringe on copyrights held by others.
