VH1 Does the Time Warp to Celebrate 25th Anniversary of 'The 
Rocky Horror Picture Show,' Featuring Special New Full-
Length DVD Edition of All-Time Great Rock Musical Movie And 
More, Saturday, October 28, at 7:00 P.M. To Midnight (ET/PT)

NEW YORK, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Whatever happened to 
Saturday Night? On October 28, it's been reserved for a 
special 25th anniversary celebration of ``The Rocky Horror 
Picture Show'' on VH1.

VH1 presents the new full-length DVD version of ``The Rocky 
Horror Picture Show,'' featuring never-before-seen footage 
from the modern musical classic, on Saturday, October 28 at 
8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The film highlights a special evening of 
``Rocky Horror'' programming, beginning at 7:00 p.m. with 
``Behind the Music: Rocky Horror.'' After the movie, the 
one-hour VH1 ``Rocky Horror: 25th Anniversary Special'' 
(premiering at 10:30 p.m.) focuses on the pop culture 
phenomenon of ``The Rocky Horror Picture Show'' and also 
includes karaoke performances by Ashton Kutcher, Wallace 
Langham, Eric McCormack, Bijou Phillips, Rashida Jones, 
Jesse Martin and Elisa Donovan. ``Where Are They Now?: Rocky 
Horror,'' airing at 11:30 p.m., caps off the celebration.

It was back in 1975 that Brad and Janet found themselves 
stranded outside Dr. Frank-N-Furter's spooky old castle, 
soon to become pawns in the sexy scientist's time-warped 
experiments. In his screen debut, Tim Curry starred as the 
outrageous transvestite doctor he had originated in the 
stage version of Richard O'Brien's roaring rock musical, 
plus Susan Sarandon as Janet, and Barry Bostwick as Brad. An 
immediate cult hit upon its release, ``The Rocky Horror 
Picture Show'' also introduced Meat Loaf (as Eddie) to the 
world, and co-starred Little Nell (Campbell), Pat Quinn and 
Charles Gray, as well as O'Brien, who wrote the timeless 
tunes ``Dammit Janet,'' ``The Time Warp,'' ``Science Fiction 
Double Feature,'' ``Touch-a Touch-a Touch-a Touch Me,'' 
``Whatever Happened to Saturday Night'' and more.
