Western Daily Press, July 20, 1999 "Actor Tony gets a walk on part" ----------------------------------------------------------- ACTOR Tony Head is helping the RSPCA launch a 5,000 appeal to improve the lives of dogs who have been abandoned or mistreated by their owners. Mr Head, star of American cult series *Buffy the Vampire Slayer,* is patron of the charity's Cats and Dogs Home in Claverton Down, Bath, which gives shelter to more than 300 homeless animals each year. The actor, who is also well known for his role in the Gold Blend coffee adverts, is home in Timsbury on a break from filming in Los Angeles and is once again helping out the home by giving a hand exercising the dogs. The home wants to create an agility paddock to give the animals a varied and challenging area to stretch their legs in. Mr Head said: "All round, it's a fairly simple plan, a quick way of injecting some new life into the home and helping the dogs. The home's no-kill policy means the animals have a chance beyond the time limit for being claimed that many other homes have." Anyone who can help with the fundraising appeal should call 01225 466129. ----------------------------------------------------------- Bentley's Bedlam http://www.BetsyDa.com/bedlam.html This website is for information and entertainment purposes only and is not intended to infringe on copyrights held by others.
