Mail on Sunday, July 19, 1992, by Tom Hutchinson. ----------------------------------------------------------- Dakota Road: National Film Theatre At last - a new British film-maker unafraid of being lurid. The characters in Nick Ward's directorial debut have the harsh colours found in a white-trash American drama - Tennessee Williams style - but set in East Anglia's fenlands. Teenager Jen (Charlotte Chatton) is the sexual rebel in an incestious farming community. She flees emotional confinement in dreams of affairs with pilots in the nearby US air-base. Such flights of fancy lead to real escape. Sometimes it pays to take chances! ----------------------------------------------------------- Bentley's Bedlam http://www.BetsyDa.com/bedlam.html This website is for information and entertainment purposes only and is not intended to infringe on copyrights held by others.
