Domo [Records] to Donate Proceeds from Sales of Behind The Day: Journey of a Vampire to help American Red Cross.
Anthony Stewart Head, star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, to help raise blood for a city that's short. Give blood and get a free t-shirt from Domo!
In conjunction with the American Red Cross, Domo Records is hosting a much-needed blood drive at Tower Records on the Sunset Strip, Monday, Oct. 26, 1998 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Blood is currently in such short supply, elective surgery procedures are being postponed. Domo Records is picking up the tab for the location in-store, including advertising. We will also be presenting blood donors with commemorative t-shirts and the opportunity to have their photo taken with Domo's very own Luis the Vampire.
Anthony Stewart Head, Rupert Giles on the popular series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, will make a special appearance to greet fans, sign autographs and pose for photos. Head is available for a limited number of interviews.
The event is in conjunction with the release of Domo's new CD Behind the Day: Journey of a Vampire. Only desire lives here beside sultry, haunting classic melodies, highlighted by the lightly erotic spoken words of a real vampire.
Behind The Day is the follow-up to The Immortal Kiss of the Vampire wherein producer/musician Lee Blaske first created the Dark Beautiful world where the vampire lives in the hearts of all hopeless romantics. When that work first materialized at retail in 1994, it was an instant best-seller.
Now with Journey of a Vampire, Blaske takes you far beyond the allure of that first immortal kiss. There is no real fear or horror in his latest release, only desire lives here beside the sultry, sometimes haunting classical melody that conjures up images between the ancient and the eternal.
