A Heady Thrill! Meeting Actor Tony Head at the Airport, November 27, 1994, by Carol Sarler.

I was waiting to check in for my flight home from LA when there was a tap on my shoulder: "I'm awfully sorry, but would you mind if I went ahead of you; I just want to ask them something at the desk..."

And it was - yes, it was - the absolutely gorgeous Gold Blend man, Tony Head.

Every possible gag flew to mind to do with coming up for coffee, your place or mine, one lump or two...then flew straight out again with the certainty that he must have heard the lot.

So I said nothing either then or during the 11-hour overnight flight as he sat just across the aisle.

Still, at least I know what he looks like curled up asleep - and first thing in the morning, too. Which is more than you can say for Sharon Maughan.
